Pro-Life Victory: Planned Parenthood Excluded from COVID-19 Relief Package
"This is a victory for life. My Republican primary opponents are silent because they are pro-abortion," said Martin in statement.
SIERRA VISTA, AZ – March 30, 2020
Brandon Martin, Republican candidate for Arizona's Second Congressional District, issued the following statement after federal legislators and pro-life advocacy organizations confirmed that Planned Parenthood is excluded from the COVID-19 stimulus bill:
"We don't need to fund more abortions. We need to defund abortions. If elected I will work to defund Planned Parenthood. My Republican primary opponents are on the record as supporting abortion and dismissing the pro-life movement as pet cause. They need to wake up to the genocide of the preborn. Their registration says Republican, but make no mistake: on policy they're abortionist Democrats who need to stop lying to voters.
About Brandon Martin:
Republican Brandon Martin is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona's Second Congressional District located in Southeastern Arizona. Brandon is an Army combat veteran running to support President Trump's agenda, secure the border, and champion 2A, vets and our military, deregulation, small business, and American workers.
"I would like to thank President Trump and GOP leadership for their commitment to the sanctity of life. This is the first time Planned Parenthood has ever been excluded from a funding stream under federal law. The bill gives the Small Business Authority discretion over a $350 billion lending program to support small businesses. The nation's largest abortion chain isn't a small business: a preborn child dies every 97 seconds at Planned Parenthood, ending the lives of over 320,000 American children every year.
"President Trump's administration has been the strongest advocate in modern history for the pro-life movement. I encourage them to continue to hold the line and press forward."
