Brandon’s upbringing instilled a solid foundation of respect for others and a duty to serve his community. These qualities were taught by his parents and reinforced during his time as a Boy Scout. He also learned the value of a strong work ethic. While growing up he worked the local farms in his community. Later he installed floors and sub-floors. Later in life, Brandon served the youth in our community. He coached youth football and has acted as a substitute teacher. He appreciates the value of being prepared and putting in a hard day’s work. Brandon Martin is the only candidate, currently seeking the Republican nomination, who has served in the Military. Brandon served in the United States Army Reserves for 11 years as an interrogator and intelligence source operator. He served a tour in Afghanistan collecting intelligence on enemy combatants. During his deployment, he gained considerable experience collecting and analyzing intelligence. He also gained experience analyzing enemy threats to our troops and developing sound recommendations to neutralize those threats. He has experience combating terrorism and terrorist activities. Brandon will bring those skills to Washington where he will provide leadership promoting National Security. His experience also makes him the perfect candidate to take on the Nation’s illegal immigration crisis. Illegal immigration is a National Security threat.

Brandon Martin taught interrogations and intelligence source operations to new soldiers for his final two years in the Army Reserves. After that, he continued to impart his knowledge to new soldiers, as a civilian for the Department of the Army. Later, he worked as a member of the Secretary-General Staff, U.S. Army Intelligence Center for Excellence and Fort Huachuca Command Group. There he managed civilian professional development programs and managed the professional development budget for the fort. In 2018, Brandon Martin resigned his position with the Department of the Army, in compliance with the Hatch Act, to run for Congress. During the 2018 Primary Election, Brandon showed considerably strong, coming in a close second despite being outspent 20-1 by the eventual nominee. This election cycle Brandon is building on all the support he gained in 2018 and will secure the nomination so Arizona’s Second District will have a true Constitutional conservative representing the Republican party in November 2020. He will work tirelessly to secure freedom and individual liberties for the citizens of Arizona’s Second Congressional District. Brandon’s Christian beliefs, conservative values, and love of the Constitution will guide his decision making and political philosophy. Brandon is a father and a proud citizen of Arizona. He has made his home in Sierra Vista, Arizona since 2006. He will work hard to be a strong voice for the Second District’s interests in Congress.

An armed citizenry is a good deterrent to despotic government. That was the intent of the 2nd Amendment. Our founding fathers had an intimate understanding of despotism and tyrannical rule. When the 2nd Amendment was drafted, the war with England was fresh on their minds. During the war, the British regularly confiscated the people’s arms in an attempt to thwart the colonists’ ability to fight. The founding fathers were students of history and knew all governments, even the one they were creating, had the ability to become tyrannical. To protect future generations from this threat, the founding fathers had the good foresight to include the right to keep and bear arms in the Bill of Rights as a deterrent to tyranny. There are some who argue for limiting the rights of citizens to own or carry weapons. They make claims that banning a certain rifle or reducing the magazine capacity of a pistol will somehow actually stop the violence. It will not. There are currently laws that criminalize such activities as assault, battery, and murder. Yet these activities still occur. Laws that criminalize the ownership of firearms will only penalize honest citizens. Criminals who will not follow the most basic laws against violence will surely not care about laws prohibiting them from using a firearm. It is important that we control the narrative and educate our younger generations about the history, purpose, and need for the 2nd Amendment. Those who seek to undermine our Republic will continue to attempt to undermine the 2nd Amendment. I stand ready as a member of the National Rifle Association, a lifetime member of the Arizona Citizens Defense League and as your next Congressman to fervently defend the 2nd Amendment for future generations. Our government is out of control and no longer cares for the rights of the people. Meanwhile, the country has been plunged into a massive debt; courts are acting as legislators, ignoring the constitution and making partisan rulings. It is time to send a citizen of the people to fix Washington D.C., not another politician.

The Constitution of the United States is the cornerstone for all of my stances

The Federal Government has stripped away many of our liberties at an alarming rate over the last 100 years. The right to bear arms, to privacy, a speedy and fair trial, equality under the law and the right to protection from illegal search and seizures. We must protect the Bill of Rights and remind Washington that the government is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Issues & Stances

Second Ammendment

I believe the 2nd Amendment protects a citizen’s inalienable individual right to keep and bear arms. The 2nd Amendment clearly states the federal government does not have the authority to pass any laws that would infringe upon that right. I support the intent of the 2nd Amendment and will never vote for any legislation that would infringe upon an individual’s right to keep and bear arms.

Immigration

As a precursor to immigration reform, securing our national borders is paramount and non-negotiable. We need a strong physical barrier, along with a robust border patrol presence supported by sophisticated technology. All illegal alien persons and those covered under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) provisions are subject to current immigration law to include imprisonment and deportation. Those individuals of felony or violent offense status shall be prioritized. End chain migration and the lottery system.

Pro-Life

Life starts at conception. We must protect the right to life of our most helpless. We must do everything in our power to protect and defend the most fundamental right to life.

Budget

The U.S. has a national debt of 22 trillion dollars. Congress must balance the budget immediately and rein in spending. This will not be a fight left to our children, but one we will face in the next 10 years. Borrowing money from allies and geopolitical foes at a rate of a million dollars a minute will cripple national defense along with social security, Medicare and Medicaid.
